The Latino Experimental Theatre Company
GUEST ARTIST PROGRAM
LETC also maintains a Guest Artist program that brings well-known artists, teachers and performers (national and international) to Chicago  to share their knowledge and art.  Artists in this program perform their work and offer workshops and master classes in their field.

LETC offers scholarships to disadvantaged participants to allow everyone interested in participating to take advantage of the unique opportunity of learning from this master artist.

DALIA MARION WHITE EAGLE, Actress, 1986
  EDUARDO LOPEZ-LEMUS, Multi-media Artist, 1987
  ELENA VAZQUEZ, Modern Dance, 1988
  EDUARDO MENENDEZ RANGEL, Actor-Director, 1989
In 1991 LETC invited two of Mexico's most widely-known artists  to offer a series of performances and workshops:
SUSANA ALEXANDER, March 12-14, 1991 and
  OFELIA MEDINA, March 25-30, 1991.
This programs (Susana/Ofelia) were  offered in cooperation with The Mexican General Consulate in Chicago and the Mexican Fine Arts Center Museum.  The workshops focused on the development of the actor and tools: voice, movement, text and characterization. Both artists were seen by hundreds of people.
FELIDA MEDINA, a third guest artist, well-known Mexican set designer, was brought in 1992 to offer workshops through LETC.  Her classes were held at the Firehouse (Latino Chicago Theatre).

LETC offers these workshops to make training and artistic development accessible within the community to those who could not otherwise afford it.  LETC will continue to bring national and international guest artists, teachers, and performers to Chicago to promote and encourage training in the arts.
